Walter Eugene Bush
(April 15, 1923 – May 16, 2010)
Walter Eugene Bush, 87 years of age, and a resident of Elyria, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010, at the Wesleyan Village in Elyria following a lengthy illness.
He was born April 15, 1923, in Danville, Illinois. Walter was raised in Illinois and Iowa. He had made his home in Elyria for the last sixty-four years.
Walter served in the United States Navy during World War II in the pacific theater aboard the USS Arkansas, USS Covy and the USS Downies as well as performing submarine service. He was employed as a cost accountant at Bendix H.V.S.G. in Elyria for thirty-three and a half years before retiring on January 1, 1983. Walter was a member of First Baptist Church, LaGrange Road in Elyria and a former member of the Church of The Open Door in Elyria. He belonged to the Western Star Masonic Lodge #240 of Champion, IL and a member of the Mason of the Valley of Danville in Danville, Illinois where he achieved the status of a 32nd. Degree Mason.
Walter leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of thirty seven years Rosetta Csincsak Bush (nee: Hill); his son and his wife Rev. James and Mary Bush of North Carolina; his daughters Carol Denise and her husband Phillip M. Fraysier of Lorain, Lois Jeanine Fahrney and her husband Jeff and Laurie Bush both of Elyria; his step sons Ted Csincsak and his wife Willy of Amherst, Jack Csinscak and his wife Janet of Amherst, and Larry Csincsak of West Salem; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Bush (nee: Pekarovits) in 1972; his step daughter Susan Moore in 1993; his grandson Bill Moore; his brothers Carl James Bush, Don Edwin Bush, Robert W. Bush and Clarence Wayne Bush; his sisters Helen L. Blodgett and Lois Irene Bush; and by his parents James D. and Pearl Bush (nee: Seybold).
Friends may call Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. from First Baptist Church;11400 LaGrange Road, Elyria, Ohio. The Rev. Ron Phillips, associate pastor of senior adult ministries, will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Walter Bush Memorial Fund c/o First Merit Bank.
