The Associated Press is directly targeting consumers with a new original Web series during the Winter Olympics.
Starting on Feb. 12 when the Winter Games kick off in Vancouver, Canada, the news service will unveil a daily show titled “Beyond the Medal,” which will feature highlights from the Olympics. That Web series, which will run through the conclusion of the games on Feb. 28, will be hosted by Jesse Csincsak formerly of ABC’s The Bachelorette & MTV’s Made.
The show will be distributed to over 900 partners, according to officials, along with AP-produced news stories, event results, video reports, photos and athlete profiles.
That content will also be accessible directly via the ad supported property wintergames.ap.org. At that site, consumers can also sign up for news alerts during the Olympics; or opt to embed content from the site on their blogs or Facebook profiles.
