What really fuels the on-screen drama you see on The Bachelor? Jesse Csincsak, winner of DeAnna Pappas’ season of The Bachelorette and host of several events, such as the annual Bachelor Reunion, revealed what goes on behind-the-scenes of capturing those contestants doing crazy things. As The Bachelor 2012 kicks off with Ben Flajnik finding love, Jesse talks about the lengths producers will go through to get contestants to do what viewers see on TV.

Jesse explained, “There are people who continually try to get in your head by pretending to be your friend in order to get you to do what they want. Those are the producers!”

What happens when a member of the cast catches on and doesn’t trust that person? Jesse said The Bachelor producers don’t give up.

“If you show signs of not trusting one producer, they will send in two more to get on your good side so they can get you to do things!” Jesse said.

It’s no secret that the shows are spliced and edited to aid in creating drama. Jesse adds that with taping starting at 8PM during the meet and greet part of the show until 5 a.m. the next morning, it’s safe to say everyone is well intoxicated or has a good buzz. A lot of drama and feisty behavior begins among contestants.

If anyone understands what goes behind-the-scenes on The Bachelor series, it’s former contestants like Jesse Csincsak. Check back next week for more scoops from Jesse on what viewers don’t get to see!

The Bachelor 2012 airs on ABC Monday nights at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT.
