When Emily Maynard handed out her first rose on Monday night’s episode, fans around the country let out a collective gasp, shocked that The Bachelorette choose “bad boy” Kalon McMahon.
Rubbing everyone the wrong way, the self-described “luxury-brand consultant” is anything but humble about his wealth, so it’s easy to see why ABC won’t be getting rid of him anytime soon. With ratings on the line, fans can expect Kalon to be sticking around for a while — even if he breaks Emily’s heart.
“He will be getting lots of roses to come. He is this season’s villain. They want you to hate him, so they’ll keep him around,” former Bachelorette contestant Jesse Csincsak tells Celebuzz.
But does he have what it takes to win?
Csincsak doesn’t believe Kalon will make it to the finale, adding that Jef Holm and former IndyCar driver Arie Luyendyk Jr. have true longevity on the show.
But it’s still anyone’s game, says Csincsak, adding that mentally these guys have to be willing to look past the fact that she’s dating all these guys — at once.
“When your on the show, you can’t think about the fact that she is dating other guys or you’ll go nuts,” he said.
“You have to focus on the time you have.”
