TO SHARE THE LOVE
Elyria – Jesse Csincsak, winner of the fourth season of ABC’s reality television series, “The Bachelorette,” is returning to his native Lorain County to ‘share the love.’ On Friday, September 11 at 9 a.m. he is celebrating his visit by donating blood with his hometown blood center: LifeShare Community Blood Services at 333 E. Bridge St. in Elyria. In tow will be his parents, Amherst residents and longtime LifeShare donors: Ted and Wilma Csincsak who are also commemorating the homecoming by donating blood and platelets.
In addition to his television-star status, the Breckinridge, Colorado resident is a world-renowned professional snowboarder. At 10 a.m., post blood donation, Csincsak will be available for a meet-and-greet with the public outside the donor facility. Those who bring a donation to J SAK (Just Snowboarding-Ambitious Kids), the charity he founded, can bring a camera and have their photo taken with Csincsak and have a personal item autographed.
J SAK exists to raise funds to help snowboarders with Olympic aspirations afford training, equipment and travel. Village Ski, Skate & Snowboard specialty shop in North Olmsted will be kicking off the meet-and-greet by presenting the first donation to J SAK.
“I was born and raised here and am deeply loyal to my Lorain County roots. My parents raised me to be community-conscious and that’s why we feel it’s important to donate with LifeShare – the charity is the only provider of blood to all the Lorain County hospitals – and a huge source of blood across Northeast Ohio; we want to make sure no local lives are lost needlessly for lack of blood,” said Csincsak, a veteran blood donor.
“I am also a big supporter of causes that help improve the lives of cancer patients. Most times when you give blood, it is used by a cancer or leukemia patient – and so giving blood is a natural annex of that caring for me,” he added.
Csincsak is also extending his good works on Saturday, September 12 by hosting a J SAK charity dinner at The Lorain Party Center at 2501 Leavitt Road in Lorain from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Among the noteables in attendance will be prior “Bachelor & Bachelorette” contestants Richard Mathy, Paul Brosseau, Nikki Kaapke and Brian Westendorf. Tickets are $30 per individual or $50 per couple. call 440-773-2934 for tickets…. ( YOU CAN NOT BUY TICKETS AT THE DOOR) as food has to be ordered prior to the event….
Csincsak graduated at the top of his class from Lorain County Joint Vocational School and also studied at Lorain County Community College before moving to Breckinridge at 19 to pursue his dream of becoming a professional snowboarder.
